Totino's Rolls Snacks - $1.00 -Use $1.25/1 Totino's Rolls Snacks, exp. 4/19/14 (SS 01/26/14 R) = FREE So the other day, I wrote that Walmart increased their Sunday Newspaper prices to the current rate of $2.50 per edition, because one store said that they are worth value. Of course they are. Sunday papers come with over $300 worth of coupons that can save lots of people time and money on things they NEED such as personal hygiene products and WANTS such as make up. Sunday coupons to me are like FREE MONEY and all I had to pay was $1 for it. The Dollar Store and the 99 CENTS store sells them at that rate and I think it's a bad move for Walmart to increase their price (at least in my local area). At the end of that blog, I wrote that I would call the Union Tribune and ask if they could make it possoble for me to receive 5 papers every Sunday for only $50 for an entire year. The rep who helped me said, "Yes!" I am so stoked. I'm supposed to receive these subscriptions starting this Sunday so let's see if UT delivers. I've had issues before with delivery and that's why I would just buy the papers myself at the store. So I'm really hoping that I won't have an issue with the papers actually being delivered. To break it down, I buy at least 3-4 papers every Sunday (except on a holiday weekend). So that equals approximately (on average) $20/mo, which is $240/year (approximately). Looking at these numbers, nevertheless of conveniences, I'm saving 80%!!! And gas and time so that's like 100% to moi... All I said was, "Good morning. I'm currently a subscriber and right now I have a really good deal on my subscription. Is there any way I can quadruple that promotion and just pay $50 a year for 5 papers every Sunday delivered to my door?" She said, "Yes!!" Thanks KCL for this deal! (Deal forwarded...) Did your local Walmart increase their newspaper prices? It seems that mine did. Hubby went to get Early weekend editions on Saturday and they were priced at $2.00. So we waited until Sunday and it was $2.50. One Walmart said that the store is increasing the price because of its value and worth. The other store didn't know why and so we told them that we usually get our papers there because it's $1. They wouldn't budge, so we price matched the papers to the Dollar Store. And "yes," they honored their price match guarantee. However, the CSM said that we would have to bring an ad the next time to price match. I asked her if a receipt from the Dollar Store is acceptable and she said, "Yes." I don't understand why they would increase the price to the papers when obviously people are buying it there for the affordability.. Walmart will lose Sunday customers that way who buy the papers. I hope they change this back to the way it was... Otherwise, I'm going to have to make a run to the Dollar Stores for now. I do have a subscription to my local newspaper but sometimes I don't get them delivered. I'll have to make a call to them for a better deal. Buying coupons from a supplier would mean I would have to wait a day or two to receive the coupons. And that's no fun, but it's definitely something to consider. Whole-couponsinserts.com is a resourceful place to go to for a package deal if you're going to be buying more than one. Otherwise, asking family and friends is even better for us savvy shoppers! Enjoy! *** See Also:

After dropping off the kids to school, I regularly pass by these stores on my way home, so my mileage is all the same. If I went home and then went back to the store and went back home and then went back (passing the same stores) to pick up the kids, then "yes," it'd be wasting gas... So plan your shopping trips wisely by knowing what you're going to buy (with the right coupons in hand) as well as the route you're going to take. *** See Also:
