Today is cleaning day for me. I thought about what to clean. I thought maybe I should clean the bathroom today. Or maybe I should not. Or maybe do the laundry. I had my coffee, I had my breakfast, and then I went to go look for a snack. I couldn’t find a snack. Why? Because I just could not find a snack!
I was so focused on how my closet was so disorganized! There were open cereal boxes, baking tools that were not in the right place, and there was so much candy! I realized I’ve neglected my kitchen cabinets. We had so much snacks, and food, and things that were just too much for me to visually handle. I started off with the cereals. I closed each box, disposed the stale ones, And put the unopened ones in an area that would not be touched until the other ones are finished.
Then, I moved towards all the noodles that my kids eat. I know, I know, I know… There’s so much sodium in noodles and the noodles itself are not the greatest. Rice, breads, and noodles are staple foods in most Asian homes. Our rice holder bin holds about 5 pounds of rice alone if not more. And here’s a tip, the way we cook noodles is not just the sauce and packet in the bag. Will show you we do noodles in our home some other time, but it includes adding eggs, fish cakes, green onions, and more.
Do you like the drawers you see in the pictures? I love these drawers. They make finding things and putting things away so much easier. And they are affordable. A small investment makes a big difference when it comes to closet organization. You can get these at Home Depot and you can also find them online on Amazon. Check it out:
I worked on the kitchen drawers afterwards. This part was a bit of a challenge for me to organize. Only because everything was in Ziploc bags. If I had a choice, I would put them in containers. I just was not in the mood to stop what I was doing and go out to start shopping. So, for now, things were organized by sweets and treats, baking goods, and of course… the sauce drawer.
Overall, I think I did a pretty good job. What do you think? Send me your tips and tricks on how you keep organized, so this mama can find a snack.

First time after a long time flying out since the pandemic. Miss it and so glad to finally get back up in the air. I always look for the odd things that makes my trips so fascinating. From the welcome sign into the city or country to the exiting of the last terminal on to the way home.
Anyone ever notice the pathways to your terminal? I do… especially when you have to check in early two hours before the flight. Most people look for the last minute souvenirs stores, restaurant or the coffee cart. Not all flights offer snacks, so making sure there’s a little bit of something in the tummy is important to make it through the flight.
I had to surrender my bottled water coming in, so we didn’t think about bringing any hot foods from outside to eat while waiting. The food prices in the airport are ridiculous. This guy got Chic-fill-a. Can I have a bite?
So we get to our terminal and unfortunately all the eateries that’s were towards the gate were closed. Boo! But here’s what got me smiling and giggling as I walked through the halls towards Gate 34. Do you guys read the signs? Here are some tips when flying out of SJC.
Well, we survived our first trip since the pandemic. We still wore our masks and brought pocket size hand sanitizer. Ear plugs, travel water bottle, and these KIND snacks are great!
Cupcakes are the best! They come in by all different flavors - Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, you name it. My family and I were invited to a birthday party this weekend. And I was excited to go. Celebrating a birthday party for both the son and daughter of my friend, I was looking forward to getting a cupcake. Luckily, my friend was able to save me one cupcake. I got a Red Velvet. When you can’t decide between vanilla or chocolate, red velvet would be the next choice. I honestly am not a cupcake person, but I really wanted to try this new way of eating a cupcake after watching a reel with Anne Hathaway. She did an interview with Kelly Clarkson on one of her shows she shared how she eats a cupcake. It stopped me on my tracks and I just had to try it. Let me show you.
I did later find out that Sam Rubin from KTLA news is the original inventor of this cupcake cake hack! I want to make sure this guy gets recognized as well. He made me laugh so much! Best invention ever. Thanks, Sam!
