FMLA stands for Family Medical Leave Act.
- available for employees whose employer has this benefit.
- allows an employee to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave for medically necessary treatments/ care and/or assistance for a loved one or self.
- Incapacities covered includes, but are not limited to:
    1) Pregnancy, Prenatal Care, or Childbirth
    2) A serious health condition
    3) A serious health condition of a spouse/ domestic partner (same sex and/or opposite), child, or parent.
    4) Bonding with newborn, adopted, or foster child in accordance to your state's law and federal law at the time of leave. (Bonding applies to fathers as well 
        as mothers)
